lihi Domain — Terms of Service

Welcome to lihiDomain services.

These Terms govern the rights and obligations between you and lihi URL Shortener Co., Ltd. (“lihi”).

By registering, purchasing, renewing, transferring, managing, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to all of these Terms.

If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, do not use the Service.

If you are a minor under the age of eighteen (18), you may register an account and use the Service only after your parent or legal guardian has read, understood, and agreed to all of these Terms.

By completing registration or beginning to use the Service, you represent and warrant to us that you have obtained the prior full consent or permission of your legal guardian.

lihi may revise these Terms as needed based on service content, legal requirements, upstream policies, or operational needs.

Revised Terms will be posted on the Service website or otherwise notified to users. Continued use of the Service after revision constitutes your acknowledgment that you have read, understood, and agreed to the revised Terms.

1. Domain Registration and WHOIS Privacy Protection

During domain registration and management, registrant contact information may be required to be retained or made available for lookup under policies of domain registries (Registry), accredited registrars (Registrar), ICANN, or top-level domains (TLD). To protect user privacy and reduce spam and malicious data harvesting, lihi provides WHOIS privacy protection or privacy proxy mechanisms as part of the Service.

• Privacy protection mechanism: For domains you purchase or manage through lihi, public WHOIS information may display lihi, a privacy proxy partner designated by lihi, or other legally compliant proxy contact information.
• Use and management rights: Provided you continue to comply with these Terms, complete payment, renew on time, and meet requirements of upstream registries, registrars, and related policies, you may use and manage the domain through the features provided by the Service.
• Upstream policy limitations: Domain registration, renewal, transfer, restoration, deletion, suspension, or dispute resolution may still be subject to Registry, Registrar, ICANN, TLD policies, and applicable laws.

2. Nature of Domain Services and Content Responsibility

2.1 Nature of Domain Services

lihi’s domain services are provided to register, renew, transfer, manage, configure DNS for, and otherwise technically support domain names on your behalf with domain registries (Registry) or accredited registrars (Registrar), in accordance with your instructions.

Unless expressly stated otherwise in the Service, lihi is not the operator, publisher, manager, seller, or co-provider of any user website, application, e-commerce platform, content page, advertising page, or other content made available through a domain.

2.2 User Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the legality, truthfulness, completeness, and compliance of all content, information, products, services, transactions, activities, and other conduct provided, published, transmitted, linked to, or displayed through your domain.

You warrant that your use of the domain will not violate the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan), international internet norms, third-party rights, upstream registry or registrar policies, or other applicable rules.

2.3 No Content Review Obligation

lihi generally does not pre-screen, monitor, or continuously supervise content provided through user domains, and does not guarantee the accuracy, legality, security, completeness, quality, or availability of any content accessed through a domain.

You must independently assess and bear all legal liability and risk arising from your domain content, website services, product transactions, advertising, user interactions, or other business activities.

2.4 Third-Party Disputes

Any dispute, claim, damage, administrative investigation, or litigation arising from user domain content, website services, product transactions, advertising, data collection, membership operations, or other use of the Service shall be handled and borne solely by the user, and lihi shall have no involvement.

If lihi suffers third-party claims, regulatory penalties, litigation, investigations, reputational harm, or other losses due to your conduct, you shall indemnify lihi for all resulting losses and reasonable expenses, including but not limited to attorneys’ fees, court costs, administrative handling fees, and technical handling fees.

3. Prohibited Activities and Mandatory Takedown

We are committed to maintaining a safe online environment. You represent and warrant that you will not use any domain registered, managed, or hosted through lihi for activities that violate the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan), accepted international internet practices, or upstream registry or registrar policies, including but not limited to:

• Operating, directing to, or facilitating scam websites, phishing sites, impersonation sites, or other pages that mislead users.
• Distributing malware, trojans, viruses, spyware, or other harmful programs.
• Infringing trademarks, copyrights, patents, trade secrets, portrait rights, personal data rights, or other intellectual property and legal rights.
• Engaging in spam, unsolicited advertising, unlawful personal data collection, unlawful payment flows, money laundering, gambling, pornography, prohibited goods transactions, or other illegal conduct.

Emergency Response and Takedown Policy

If lihi receives notice from authorities, judicial bodies, rights holders, upstream registries, registrars, or other third parties, or independently determines through internal systems with reasonable evidence that a domain is suspected of the illegal, infringing, public-order-offending, or improper activities described above, lihi has the right to immediately take necessary measures to restrict or suspend the Service without prior notice (including but not limited to suspending DNS resolution, locking the domain, removing management settings, or terminating the Service).

Where the circumstances may be remedied, lihi may, at its discretion, grant the user a correction period of up to three days (72 hours). If the user fails to remedy the issue within the deadline or the remedy is incomplete, lihi will immediately terminate the Service, and fees already paid will not be refunded.

4. Renewal and Fees (General Principles)

• Domain registrations are time-limited. You are responsible for renewing and paying before expiration, and for ensuring that account contact information, payment methods, and renewal settings are correct.
• If your domain expires, becomes invalid, is deleted, is released, or is registered by a third party due to late payment, payment failure, incorrect information, failure to update your credit card, failure to receive notice, or other reasons not attributable to lihi, lihi shall not be liable for any damages.
• Restoring, redeeming, transferring, or re-registering a domain may require additional fees under upstream registry or registrar rules, and success is not guaranteed.

5. Subscription, Renewal, and Pricing Policy

5.1 Domain Subscription, Cooling-Off Exclusion, and Refund Policy

Domain registration, renewal, transfer, restoration, or management services often involve international registries, upstream registrars, and resellers with customized characteristics and irreversible cost structures.

The Service constitutes “digital content provided without a tangible medium or online services completed upon provision.” Under Paragraph 5, Article 2 of the Regulations on Reasonable Exceptions to the Right of Rescission in Distance Sales of the Republic of China (Taiwan), once a user completes online payment and the system executes domain registration, renewal, transfer, management, or restoration, the right of rescission under Article 19, Paragraph 1 of the Consumer Protection Act (the seven-day period) does not apply. By registering for or purchasing the Service, you are deemed to have fully understood and expressly agreed to the foregoing exclusion of the right of rescission in distance sales.

Because domain registration or renewal immediately incurs established costs with international registries (Registry), and most registries do not offer refunds, we generally do not accept any refund, cancellation, or change requests more than three days after successful payment, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.

If you need to request cancellation and a refund within three days after successful payment due to special circumstances, our support team will review your case according to registry, registrar, and reseller rules. Whether a refund is possible and the refund amount depend on the actual rules of each registry, registrar, and reseller.

5.2 Auto-Renewal and Renewal Timing

To avoid losing your domain due to failed card charges or missed renewals, the system may attempt renewal billing approximately 40 to 45 days before expiration.

Before executing auto-renewal billing, we will remind users by email or system notice. Users should ensure that the contact email address in their account remains valid.

When you purchase or enable domain services, we will clearly indicate whether auto-renewal is enabled and when charges will occur. If you do not want auto-renewal, you must disable it in account settings before the scheduled billing date.

If renewal fails due to payment issues and you do not renew manually before expiration, we cannot guarantee that the domain can be registered, restored, or transferred back again.

5.3 Credit Card Binding and Verification Policy

To ensure service continuity, prevent abuse of system resources, and support auto-renewal billing, you may be required to successfully bind a valid credit card when enabling the Service or certain paid plans.

You agree and authorize lihi to charge the bound credit card on a recurring or one-time basis according to your selected plan. If the card expires, is reported lost, has insufficient credit, is declined, or otherwise fails, lihi may suspend or terminate DNS and related services depending on service status and risk level.

To the extent permitted by law, lihi is not liable for data loss, website interruption, business losses, or other damages caused by payment failure, renewal failure, or failure to update account information.

5.4 Domain Price Fluctuation Policy

Domain prices may change due to registry cost adjustments, international currency exchange rates, market supply and demand, upstream registrar policies, specific TLD policy changes, or other factors—this is common in the domain industry.

We will adjust domain prices according to registry and upstream registrar pricing policies and strive to explain the reasons and effective dates of price changes clearly to customers.

Once a registry announces price changes for registration, renewal, transfer, or restoration of a specific domain, affected registrars and reseller services may also be impacted. We will notify you in advance via website notice, email, or other appropriate channels of price changes that may affect existing subscriptions or domain renewals, including effective dates and scope.

6. Disclaimer

lihi will make reasonable efforts to maintain stable and secure systems, but does not guarantee that domains, DNS, upstream registries, registrars, third-party infrastructure, or the internet environment will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully secure at all times.

In cases of force majeure, natural disasters, war, government orders, regulatory requirements, ICANN or registry policy changes, upstream registrar operational issues, telecommunications failures, cyberattacks, security incidents, third-party service interruptions, or other events beyond lihi’s reasonable control, lihi shall not be liable for DNS interruptions, website unavailability, data loss, reputational harm, transaction losses, business losses, or other direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages to the extent permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms shall be construed as lihi making any service-level commitment regarding DNS availability, incident recovery time, support response time, or service compensation. If lihi separately provides an enterprise SLA or service-level commitment in the future, the explicit terms of that separate written document shall govern.

7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

The interpretation, validity, performance of these Terms, and any dispute arising from the Service shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan).

Any litigation, dispute, or controversy arising from the Service or these Terms shall first be resolved in good faith through negotiation. If litigation is necessary, both parties agree that the Taipei District Court in Taiwan shall have jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
