This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, process, use, and protect your information when providing domain registration, renewal, transfer, management, WHOIS privacy protection, and related services.

1. WHOIS Privacy Protection

To prevent your real name, email, phone number, and address from being publicly searched, collected, or misused by advertisers online, lihi provides domain privacy protection as part of the Service.

• Public WHOIS information for domains you register or manage may display lihi, a privacy proxy partner of lihi, or other legally compliant proxy contact information.
• Your real personal contact information will be retained and managed by lihi under this Policy and applicable laws, and will generally not be proactively disclosed publicly.
• Some top-level domains (TLD), registries, registrars, ICANN policies, or legal requirements may limit or exclude the applicability of WHOIS privacy protection.

2. Data We Collect and Why

When you register, purchase, renew, transfer, or manage a domain, we may need to collect your real information, including but not limited to your name, phone number, email, address, billing information, payment information, company information, domain configuration records, IP address, login records, and customer support correspondence. We use this information only for the following purposes:

• Confirming substantive use, management, and billing ownership of the domain.
• Providing domain registration, renewal, transfer, DNS management, WHOIS privacy protection, and customer support.
• Processing billing, verifying payments, issuing invoices, and retaining transaction records.
• Sending domain renewal reminders, payment notices, service incident notices, security notices, and customer support replies.
• Supporting audits, compliance reviews, dispute resolution, and regulatory cooperation required by registries, registrars, ICANN, authorities, or applicable laws.

Under the Personal Data Protection Act, the specific purpose categories include: 040 Marketing; 063 Collection, processing, and use of personal data by non-government agencies as required by law; 069 Contract, quasi-contract, or other legal relationship affairs; 090 Consumer and customer management and services; 135 Information and communications services; 136 Information and database management; 148 Online shopping and other e-commerce services; and 181 Other business activities consistent with registered business items or organizational purposes.

Categories of personal data include: C001 Identifiers (such as name, phone, email, address); C002 Financial identifiers (such as credit card number, payment information); C101 Data subject rights (such as customer support records); and C132 Accounting records (such as invoice information).

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data to unrelated third parties, nor do we share your personal data without authorization. Your real information may be processed, shared, or disclosed only in the following necessary circumstances:

• Service fulfillment: To complete domain registration, renewal, transfer, and related necessary services, we may provide information to upstream registrars, registries, and payment service providers. You understand and agree that, due to the international nature of domain services, your personal data may be transmitted to and processed on servers outside the Republic of China (Taiwan), including international domain registries (such as ICANN) and servers in countries where top-level domains (TLD) are administered.
• Illegal activity: If a domain is suspected of unlawful, fraudulent, or infringing conduct, lihi will cooperate as required by law with judicial authorities, police agencies, or regulatory authorities upon valid legal documents, search warrants, or court orders. For complaints from private rights holders, except where expressly required by law or permitted under the exceptions in Article 16 of the Personal Data Protection Act, lihi will generally not directly disclose your real personal data to private third parties, and will instead take necessary measures under the Terms of Service (such as suspending DNS resolution) or forward the complaint email.
• Registry or policy requirements: To comply with audits, compliance reviews, WHOIS, UDRP, or other dispute resolution policies of ICANN, TLD registries, or upstream registrars.
• Legal requirements or rights protection: As required by law, court order, or regulatory authority, or as necessary to protect the lawful rights and service security of lihi, users, or third parties.

4. Your Rights

Under the Personal Data Protection Act of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and related laws, you may log in to the lihi dashboard to access or correct your personal contact information.

To exercise rights of inquiry, review, request copies, supplementation, correction, cessation of collection/processing/use, or deletion, please contact lihi customer support. To protect your personal data, you must cooperate with lihi in necessary identity verification and written procedures when submitting a request. In addition, for requests to inquire, review, or obtain copies, lihi may charge necessary administrative processing fees as permitted by law.

However, due to domain registration, transaction records, billing, taxation, dispute resolution, security audits, legal compliance, or upstream registry policy requirements, lihi may retain certain data, transaction records, and logs for necessary periods and scope.

5. Data Retention and Security

lihi adopts reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, damage, or loss.

Your data retention period depends on service provision, contract performance, legal requirements, tax and billing needs, dispute resolution, security audits, and upstream registry policies. When the retention purpose no longer exists and there is no legal or contractual need to retain the data, lihi will delete, de-identify, or anonymize the relevant data according to internal procedures.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

To optimize your experience, maintain login sessions, and analyze website traffic, this Service website will write to and read cookies in your browser.

You may refuse cookies through your browser settings, but this may cause some features of the Service website (such as member login or shopping cart) to stop working properly.

7. Policy Changes

lihi may revise this Privacy Policy based on service content, legal requirements, upstream policies, or operational needs.

Revised policies will be posted on the Service website or otherwise notified to users. Continued use of the Service after revision constitutes your acknowledgment that you have read and understood the revised policy.
